Description
Abstract
Bioregions of Queensland, version 5.0.  Queensland has been divided into 13 bioregions defined in the report 'The Conservation Status of Queensland's Bioregional Ecosystems' (Sattler and Williams 1999).

Bioregions represent broad landscape patterns that are the result of the interplay between factors including geology, climate and biota.
Purpose
Compatibility with Interim Bioregionalisation of Australia (IBRA) version 7 (due for release early 2011), particularly at Queensland's borders with New South Wales and South Australia.
Supplemental Information
The data may be cited as:  Queensland Herbarium (2010). Bioregions and subregions of Queensland, version 5.0 (Department of Environment and Resource Management: Brisbane).

NOTE: Incorporated IBRAv7 names may need to be slightly revised.
