Summary

This project represents a collaboration of four adjoining cane farmers in the Arriga Plain, near Dimbulah. Mixed native species of eucalyptus and melaleuca will be selected to reduce rising ground water levels and associated salinity profile and stabilise environmental decline of Cattle Creek, a tributary of the Walsh River.

The project will:
  • provide a means to stabilise groundwater inundation and consequent rising salinity profile.
