Summary

This project aims to improve the environmental values of Magnetic Island creek areas in national park/suburban intersections by rubbish and weed removal and re-vegetation of the lower reaches of local creeks.

Benefits

This project aims to:
  • provide an attractive, healthy, resilient natural environment contributing to the island's lifestyle and tourism industry
  • achieve enhanced community cohesion will be through projects that involve residents, visitors, local groups and businesses
  • engender greater community appreciation of local threats to the environment through improvements in wildlife habitat and corridors and in the quality of water flowing from creeks to reefs and seagrass.
