SummaryThe project aims to protect and enhance the Murray cod habitat by removing WONS weed Salvinia from the Lower Condamine and Balonne River systems. Murray cod are an iconic species, a key indicator species of aquatic habitat health and a listed species on the rare and threatened species list. The Dogwood Creek and downstream Balonne River system provide significant biodiversity and environmental service provision values, particularly in relation to the protection of the Murray cod and other native fish species.
