SummaryTo prevent vehicle access to the estuarine flats, a barrier of rocks and bollards are installed at the end of the 'crab track'. A reduction of vehicle access in the area benefits the environment but doesn't restrict direct public access to the creek.
BenefitsReducing the vehicle access to estuarine flats benefits the environment. The area is a shorebird roosting site for migratory wader birds and are of Ramsar Convention significance. The area is also habitat for the water mouse listed as vulnerable status under the State and Federal legislation.
