Summary

Constructed wetland and vegetated swales for flood mitigation, water quality and reuse for irrigation of sports fields.

Benefits

Water is treated and stored for irrigation of large playing fields. The wetland also provides flood mitigation for properties downstream through attenuation and wetland habitat for local native birds and plants.

Lesson

Important to understand the soil properties and groundwater actions properly across large sites.
