Summary

Rehabilitation and revegetation at Tweedale Reserve.

Benefits

To address the impacts of weed infestation, and associated problems (e.g. erosion, nutrients entering waterways), on water quality to the stream reach and subsequently to the North Pine River. The overall aim of the project is to reduce the risk of flood and fire in the park by reducing invasive weed species that threaten native vegetation, and the widening of the nature strip where the park borders on private property. A vegetated canopy over waterways will be maintained, as well as plants to provide bank stabilisation to reduce nutrients and sediment entering waterways.
