Summary

This project aims to undertake water quality monitoring on the Jordan Creek and Alice Rivers in the Desert Uplands Bioregion of central western Queensland with the aim of creating baseline data. The project will also undertake activities to treat small areas of weeds missed by past actions along the river’s banks.

Benefits

This project will identify areas at risk of extreme weather events such as areas affected by erosion, pasture loss and weeds. It will also provide water quality baseline data to inform the Jordan Creek and Alice River Riparian Management Plan.
