Summary
This project is part of the on-ground implementation of the Upper Logan Resilience project, an initiative supported by project partners Seqwater, in collaboration with Scenic Rim Regional Council.
The project will facilitate the control of weeds to restore native vegetation and creek bank resilience along the upper Teviot Brook to contribute to improved water quality and riparian health in the sub-catchment. The environmental benefits will include improving the condition of native vegetation containing Regional Ecosystem 12.9-10.17 ‘Open forest complex often with Eucalyptus acmenoides, E. major, E. siderophloia +/- Corymbia citriodora on sedimentary rocks’. The project will deliver:
The proponent will maintain the weed control undertaken in the project to protect the stream bank in the future. They will also use photo-points to monitor the weed control and riparian vegetation condition in the project area. To increase landholders’ knowledge and skills in natural resource management and facilitate the uptake of sustainable land management practices:
