SummaryUsing GPS, the public can visit this cane farm at planting time to find out the benefits of setting up zonal tillage. John Turner from Mackay Area Productivity Services will explain how this farming method of guiding the wheel tracks of farm machinery is set up to reduce soil compaction and how later at harvest it will reduce damage to the cane plant. Zonal tillage is integral to the first seven modules of Smartcane BMP.
